Reimbursement will depend on the type of spending account you have.
A PCA - Personal Care Account only reimburses for items covered under your medical and pharmacy plans.
A HSA - Health Savings Account will reimburse for other items as well that may not be covered under your plan.
The card transaction may deny, but you can request reimbursement via the spending account form. When submitted with a letter of medical necessity, the IRS will typically consider it as an eligible expense.
