I am wondering why this 1.50 is suddenly appearing again even though I have waived paper statements
With the transition to the new platform, unfortunately prior settings did not follow.
You will be charged $1.50 to receive a paper quarterly statement in the mail.
You can avoid this fee by enrolling in electronic statements.
To sign-up for electronic statements:
1. Sign in to your account at www.HumanaAccess.com.
2. From the home page, click on Health Savings Accounts listed in the “Your Accounts” box.
3. Click Statements.
4. Click DELIVERY PERFERENCES.
5. Select Electronic Only.
6. Click SUBMIT.
I should not be held responsible if I have previously waived paper statements. If my preferences did not transition over to the new platform how is that my fault? I never received an email saying platforms were even changing, so how would I even know I needed to do this again. When I go to change my preferences it wont let me switch to electronic only. The submit button is grayed out when I select electronic only and is only functional if I select both.
When you go through - you have to click on the link that says sample pdf, and enter the code.
I just did this on my own account.
When I go back into the Statements section, it confirms that it is Electronic only, and only gives me the option to select Electronic and Paper. If you are already on Electronic, the submit button will be grayed out.
I have done all of that but that is the issue. It already says I have selected Electronic only. It only lets me change it to "both". Since it shows that I selected "electronic only" I am not sure why I was charged the 1.50. Is there anyway we can speak to get this resolved? 540-314-0300
With the transition, members were sent communication (as well as an alert within the HumanaAccess portal) to change the member preference page to what worked best for your individual needs.
If you did not receive the information, and were charged the fee, I truly apologize.
Now that you are confirmed as being electronic only, you will no longer receive the $1.50 service fee.
