Preventive prenatal care

As I understood it, prenatal care was considered preventive care in that I should not be charged a copay or coinsurance or really be charged anything for routine prenatal care. I had routine blood work done and I am being charged for it. I haven't been charged anything else yet. What is the difference? I need to understand which prenatal services are "free" and which ones I will be charged for.
