I went out and double checked and I already have the electronic only selected (submit is greyed out) and I am still receiving the paper surcharge fee. What do I need to do to stop the surcharge?
With the transition to the new platform, unfortunately prior settings did not follow.
You will be charged $1.50 to receive a paper quarterly statement in the mail.
You can avoid this fee by enrolling in electronic statements.
To sign-up for electronic statements:
1. Sign in to your account at www.HumanaAccess.com.
2. From the home page, click on Health Savings Accounts listed in the “Your Accounts” box.
3. Click Statements.
4. Click DELIVERY PERFERENCES.
5. Select Electronic Only.
6. Click SUBMIT.
If you are now receiving the grayed out box upon selecting your preferences (electronic) you have been successfully enrolled in the electronic only preference. You would then no longer receive the $1.50 statement fee.
