What is the point of calling Humana if you are given incorrect information? I called on October 4th and was told my Shingrix shot was covered. Today I received a bill for the full amount.

Can you also Reach Out to Me? Then...I can count on a consistent answer. A LOT of computer typing is occuring with NO Answer(s) to a very simple question about a vaccine that at age 66 I most defintely Need! It is either the vaccine or.....? Forest Lawn!

Yes!!! I have called on two occassion to ask for a cost (Out of pocket) breakdown of one medication I take. The first call taker stated that I would have NO out of pocket charges for my medication. Then when I went to pick up that medication at an "In-Network" pharmacy. I was charged the full amount of this daily medication I take! It was then a curious action that I called Humana (Again!) and received a completely different set of criteria and that my medicine is a Tier 4 medication! (First time I had heard of this value-classification). I then asked to examine the call records to see when I called before why I was provided contrary information? She (Humana) stated that the medication I was taking XX extended release (ER) was covered vs the same medication XX Delayed Release which was a Tier 4 medication! Huh? All I knew is that the medication had two intials after the dosage amount ER. However, The Pharmacy decided to changed their Formulary (very conviently!) just as I was about to start taking this vital medication! Personally, I believe that contrary to what the FDA wrote (and I confirmed this with my MD who perscribed the med) that either medication would work for me. So long as A) I took it every day as perscribed. B) Take whatever medication cost you less out of pocket! So I am hopeful that in the interest of being a Patient Advocate, Humana assists me in the future to moderate this TOTALLY CONFUSING interaction...which Drug companies purposely inflict to make more money! So please Help Me out next time! OK?
