I was trying to validate my direct deposit bank account for a HSA reimbursement, however it failed, how long until it resets? or can you just try to validate another checking account?

The subscriber has three attempts to validate the account before validation fails. If validation fails, the subscriber must change the disbursement method to check then back to direct deposit to restart the validation process. The subscriber must reenter the bank account information and watch for new debits and credits to validate.
